I for one am glad that this is the case. But WTF. Of all time times to quit, this is the hardest. 3 months before surgery. I am almost at this threshold and am feeling the pressure.

I know what you mean BUT you DO NOT want to have issues healing later on, believe me it will totoaly be worth it - MIND OVER MATER. What helped me is every night before bed I would write in a big tablet "I will not smoke" over and over until the page was filled and my hand was hurting, IT WORKED, by doing that right before bed the message seeped into my subconcious while I was sleeping and it made it MUCH easier to quit! I would even forget in the morning about a cigarette and that never HAPPENED BEFORE- morning were always the worst for me, that and after a good meal!
