I had a patient the other day who's skin suddenly looked really fantastic and she said she had started using the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel(an organic 13% AHA blend with a pH of around 3.5). I picked up a jar today and I have to say I am thoroughly impressed with the results. My skin is very soft and smooth, clearer, brighter and my pores are invisible. Dare I say it has given me better results in one 15 minute treatment than I have noticed with 8 months' use of Retin-A 0.025% It is definitely not a replacement for stronger peels and regular retinoid use, but it is a really nice light weekly peel to add to your home care routine. I highly recommend trying it.

It almost does and I was skeptical but I thought I would give it a try anyway. I was very pleasantly surprised. It's not going to reverse significant aging, but it is a nice weekly addition. Apples contain the AHA malic acid, but it also contains glycolic and salicylic acids as well. I full range of AHA's.

It sounds like a very mild peel that the average person (like me) could do at home without complication, correct?

Yes, for most people. You just wash it off. It would probably not be a good idea for people with rosacea. I have fairly sensitive and ultra-fair skin. It burned mildly the entire time (I left it on for 15 minutes) and I was really red after but the redness was gone within a couple of hours. I wouldn't do it before a date though, lol, unless he really has a thing for lobsters!

Thanks DC for posting the ingredients!

Thanks...I saw the Juice Beauty line at Whole Foods the other day, not the peel though. Maybe I'll check it out...

I want to buy this too. I got an email today for 20% off at the Skinstore. They sell this product for $45, so that would make it $36.
They make a "full strength" and a "sensitive."

I think you can get samples too for like $5. They didn't have any at my Whole Foods, but the do elsewhere.

Hi - I found this product through the board and purchased it this week. I was between the Juice apple peel and Colbert MD facial discs since they are roughly the same price but the ringing endorsements here made me choose the peel.

My skin had been flakey and no amount of moisturizer was able to cure it. I headed over to my local Whole Foods and picked up a jar of this for about $39. I washed my face with my usual Neutrogena cleanser and towel dried. I then applied a generous amount and waited about 12 minutes to wash it off. It was a bit difficult to remove, I used a paper towel as well. My face was pretty red after, but a few hours later my skin looked brighter and clearer. My flakies have lessened considerably as well and my makeup is easier to apply. Thanks for this awesome suggestion! I will be adding this to my skincare routine.

Wow, I didn't know you could buy this stuff at Whole Foods! I've only seen it at Sephora. I'm headed there tonight (Sephora) to get me some . . . thanks BG . . . and I didn't know you were an esthetician! Cool . . . You're gonna' regret sharing that, though. I'll probably pester you from now on.

Well, damn. I would've bought it from you, Miss J, if I'd been smart enough to realize your store probably carried it. I'll buy my next batch that way, though, fer sure.

This stuff is awesome! It's like cosmetic crack! At first I thought it was going to be just a theme and variation on my Philosophy Mirco Delivery Peel, but it's not. It's more brightening, I think.

Awesome stuff. Thanks for the recommendation, BG. And next time, Miss J.

Ha, no problem HM! I'm actually a nutritionist and not an aesthetician, but I did go to makeup artistry school way back in the day. Pester away, I don't mind.

This is available through Miss J's store, so buy it through her if you can :)
