Fixit,
Thank you SO much for the morphs!!! I think we have similar aesthetic taste. I absolutely love the forward (anterior) movement of the maxilla. Do you think it is possible to achieve the look you morphed by using fillers and having a second rhinoplasty (or would it be absolutely necessary to get a lefort 1?)

N,
It is good to hear that someone has had a lefort 1 for cosmetic reasons and is happy with it! Was it terribly painful? Do you feel it made a big difference for you? It just seems like such a dangerous surgery. I'm glad maxillary reduction is at least an option but I'm really scared to go ahead with it!!!

Welcome ckaren918

There are implants that can be placed above the gumline to simulate a Lefort 1 advancement. I think this can be seen on Yaremchuk's (sp?) websits. To be honest though a simple Lefort 1 advancement is not that big a deal. I had one and it went extremely well and fairly painless.

It wasn't painful but i was drowsy and nauseous for ten days. I also developed a stomach ulcers and caused me to have aversive dysphagia. I got dehydrated and with the bad ulcers they had to readmit me to the hospital. Adjusting to the new image changes got me into depression. I wont call it an easy experience. In my opinion you don't have to do it when you can simulate the results with implants.Unfortunatley in my case an implant will not resolve the ertical excess.

I wish I had seen this thread back when it was active! I have a Haworth rhino revision and I'm so happy with it! I've only got a profile pic on this board in the Lip Lifts section and the name of the thread is "Haworth LL 9 mos PO" or something similar. I never thought I could have a normal looking nose and definitely didn't think it would look feminine. I was truly blessed the day that I got to get a rhino by Dr. Haworth! I'm not a rhino expert like Chris K. and he may be able to point out if something's wrong with my new nose, but I'M very thrilled with it so that's all that matters. A nose expert could probably break it down what has changed with my nose and I welcome any input like that if it helps anyone in their decision-making process. I need to get some front views on this board so people can get a better sense of what Dr. H's ability is. My real nose turned out nicer than the morph he did for me. The only thing that I wished could have been changed is the fact that you can look into my nostrils. I've always had a pet peeve about that with my first nose and it only slightly improved with the revision. Still, my nose is much more normal than my first rhino and I can breath easy now for the first time in YEARS! Dr. H. had a challenge on his hands with my nose and he pulled off a miracle.
