Helen Mirren is 65. She is attractive but upon close inspection, she looks her age. Does anyone one know if she ever had any work done? I know many of you are good at looking at the tragus for telltale signs. LOL.
Her new hair style is more youthful than the 2007 photos.

She looks a tad bit pixie eared and her tragus is 'tucked' backs sort of like mine is from my FL. Hard to say. I think I read where she's not supposed to have anything done but you never know.

She was refreshed around that time, DC. If you find earlier pics she starts to look haggard and then suddenly better. She looks great, I think. Great womanly bod, too.

As posted in the Meryl Streep thread, the neck wrinkles swoop up towards the back of the ears, which does not happen normally.

I think she is beautiful but to me she looks way older than 65. Maybe 70... Interesting about the neck wrinkles. I read on another site that she had a jaw lift.

I agree, I think she is a pretty older woman, but she looks older than 65 to me also. Although, with the more recent haircut and color she does look better than the grey. But still, looking more like about 70 to me. I think if you are still pretty at that age, people don't notice the wrinkles as much. Loose skin tends to be more noticeable, and tends to take away ones "looks" faster than wrinkles themselves. My opinion anyway!

I've seen her in pics in a bikini on the beach, and unless there was major touch ups going on, she looks incredible, body wise, for her age! Not skinny, which is the key for one thing. But everything was in the right places, and for her age her skin looked quite firm. People like Susan Lucci could take some hints from Helen: trying to stay too thin doesn't work when you are older. More hanging skin.

Can't say I think she looks 70, at least not to me.

She just exudes class and charm to me. I would not be disappointed to look like her at that age, honestly. She's still quite a nice looking woman regardless.

I would be thrilled to look like her at her age. I think she looks great and is very pretty. I just compare her to people her age in my life (my mom is 68 and looks younger in the face, and has had no PS at all), and go by that, regarding her age, not her beauty. I think it could be the hair color.

But, regardless, I think she looks great, and I am hoping I don't feel the need to be wrinkle-less at that age. I would love to have her self confidence and style at that age.

I think she looks how most ordinary people, not an A-lister, would look at 65. I don't believe she's had anything done. Never seen any pics of her looking haggard and then better. Would be interested in those pics, pauluk.

Having a lift wouldn't really fit with her clearly not using any Botox or even getting rid of sundamage, either.

I agree DCNGA, she exudes class and charm.

Have you ever thought of using a search engine??

There is a link here. Her brows and cheeks certainly seem to be getting higher rather than lower:

You can believe what you want of course..in spite of evidence. Gormless people can and do suspend disbelief.

I have followed her for years. Ho hum..

paukuk: There's no need to insult me because I hold a different view.

Of course I can use a search engine. Of course I've seen that article. I too, have followed her for years. I just don't happen to agree with you.

That doesn't make me 'gormless'. None of us knows for sure whether she's had anything done; why can't you tolerate a different opinion?

Mirin is a great example of what a sleek, contemporary hairstyle can do for a gal - I much prefer her now to the previous shots (with gray hair that was straight or wavy).

Boy, she looks like a natural - but those are very keen observations (from DCNGA and Stache) about the tucked in trajus and swooping neck lines ....

It could be that she just attends to the most pressing problem: lower face/neck? Anyway, I hope to look as radient as her at 65.

(Geez, I'm only 54, and sometimes I feel EIGHTY-FOUR.)

There is something wrong with her ears. Her tragus seems to tell facelift and something about the position of the ear.
I think one would not assume that she had a facelift because she has severe wrinkles but I think she had at least a necklift.
There is rarely somebody in Hollywood who admits to plastic surgery.

Gregory Peck did something similar for a while where he had a neck/lower facelift but did not do a bleph so he still looked mature but more appealing.

Her neck is smoother and tighter now than when she was much younger. She is a bit tighter and fuller in the mid face - her smile is different somehow too.

She has always had unusual looks and I think she has managed to preserve something unique and characterful by keeping things subtle.

I have similar ones and I never had a lift.

I wish I knew how to draw shapes and arrows to point to something in PS. I need to get my DH to show me...but then I would have to explain why...so....

If you look at the tragus, it is sort of 'shapeless". This happened to mine after my FL. It was not so rounded before my FL. Bad thing is, it is just one ear. Then there's the crease or tuck back look where the ear lobe attaches to the face, kind of 'set back'. I have that look also. My doc ASSURED me he was good with ears as I was adamant about that. Guess, I should have done more research, I was such a newbie then. Ugh.

Anyway, that's why I say that about the her ears. I guess I need to look closely at some pics of her ears and how they attach from when she was younger to see if there is a noticeable difference.

Yowzer...looking for pics of her ears when she was younger, I turned up this one of her bod from two years ago. I sure as hell wish I looked that good in a bathing suit and I'm 10 years younger! Holy crap! In the meantime, we may have to wait for Super Cybergirl to come up with one of her miraculous pictures of HM when she was younger that shows her ear.
