Revive Skin Care: I was at a special event at Bergdorfs for Revive Skin Care and met Dr. Gregory Bays Brown as he held the function. He was very nice. I don't think he is practicing PS anymore--just doing his skin care line. There was a woman beside me who said she was using the neck cream and it made her neck skin real nice. I'll be trying this cream as the very nice (and handsome) guy at the Revive counter in Bergdorfs gave me some samples to take home. I was all psyched because I WON the raffle price--like they picked my name out of the special bowl from all the other names. BUT the price was some HEAVY BOOK. (I was hoping I would win the damned face cream but no it was a heavy book that no way I was going to carry with me 30 blocks down 5th ave for the rest of my travels that night). So I passed on the book. See, I thought the prize was this: http://reviveskincare.com/detail.aspx?ID=227&Category=4 . This is a box full of revive STUFF but I think the prize was the actual BOOK. (Hey that would be terrible if I was being a scatter brain and actually passed up the box with stuff in it but I do think the prize was the actual book.). This is a product I definitely want to try but I want to see if I can get a better price on it later down the line. Presently, I'm experimenting with another cream (can't name it now though) by another PS that is steeped in intellectual property issues and if it does anything, I'm going to want to see if I can have it repackaged under my name. So, I need to wait on trying the Revive anyway. The Revive has been on the market for a while and there were some people, years back, on the skin boards, who did like the stuff.

Miss J, I use Revive and love some of the products but some are not worth it. The moisturizing renewal cream is great. I started using the neck cream as the face cream irritated my neck and chest. I like it. I'm using eye renewal cream (more like a serum) and intensite les yeux eye cream which are OK. One great thing about revive is that they give enormous samples. If you go to the counter they will give you enough samples for 2 weeks of everything you need as that's how long they say it takes to make a difference. I wanted to try the new yeux presse and serum presse which are supposed to "instantly smooth and brighten the skin". They didn't have samples so the counter person put some in a large sample jar for me. Glad I sampled it becaue it did nothing. After you've hit all the stores for samples and know what you like you can get good prices on sets of samples or full size products on Ebay. I also emailed the company and they sent me samples of products I requested in the mail. BTW did you get my PM?

sam, Thanks for reminding me about the PM as I was meaning to PM you. I got notice to my e-mail I had a PM but you sent it to the account I can't get in to. I have 2 Miss J accounts as one is the 'admin' but can't get into the other one. So, can you resend your PM by clicking on PM on THIS post?
Now for the revive, ya they said not to use the face cream to the neck because the neck skin is more sensitive. They have a separate cream for the neck. I try to bid on e-bay but always get outbid as I just can't pay that much for the stuff. They gave me some samples at the event but mostly of the 'wash your face' stuff and very little of the cream.
I was hoping the prize I won would be a bunch of the products but it was just this BIG book.

The key ingredient in Revive, EGF (epidermal growth factor), is what makes it an expensive product. Skinactives.com sells EGF in a tiny vial. It's so powerful, the amount in the vial is smaller than a tear drop yet is enough for 8 ounces of cream. It should be refrigerated for longevity. I used to to buy it from them years ago and add it to a base cream. I liked the results but after a while I got a little paranoid about putting EGF on my skin because it reacts with other cells as a signal. I am sure it is fine, but I get weird about stuff like that. I may go back to it again.

I really like the les yeux eye cream. I'm young so my skin is overall good, I mostly had a problem with puffy eyes which it helped a lot with and theres a little bit less darkness. It's one of the very few products I've tried where I could actually see a diffrence.

CG, Wow, so just the key ingredient from skin actives made a cream work better?
Anna, people do seem to like the stuff. Wish someone would come up with a generic drug store version of it.

Yes, the EGF is powerful enough to be used alone with a base cream. I used their base cream. They sell a pre-made serum called "Let's make collagen" that has EGF and a lot of other good stuff in it. You would need to put an emollient cream over it because it tightens the skin once it dries.

SAS sells a several products with EGF. For their price it is CHEAP compared to anyone else and just hope you get ANYTHING from anyone (besides SAS) that will come in an 8 oz container.
I've been using the LMC for a few years now, it's one of my absolute faves!!!
