Hey, does anyone have experience with this brand? I've been tempted to plunk down the $$ to buy the iron. I've heard it's less damaging to hair.
TIA to anyone.

I have a cheap brand I got at CVS and it's not that great. The chi brand (and maybe another ceramic one) is the ones the hair dressers use.

I don't have experience with the Chi; I love my Sedu Revolution though, and it has a longer warranty than the Chi. It does the flips and curls as well (although the "curl" you make with these is weird- just use a curling iron for curls imo); it's more expensive than CHI though. 'Xteener' on youtube loves her chi, and even gives a tutorial on how to use it.

I have the Chi flat Iron, so far is one of the best Irons I have owned( Thats the one I use when I do Thermal reconditioning) The Chi color is good if is used on medium/fine texture hair, it leaves hair soft and manageable but if hair is dark/coarse the cream color you have to use a lot of product or it can give you uneven blotchy spots the Chi infra High lift Ionic cream color Is awesome, it can be used on almost any healthy hair types and results are great (this is for Highlights) as for the Chi styling Products I dont like them, they coat the hair and make it feel coarse thick/heavy plus some of the products have very strong scent. Instead I prefer Joico Kpak line, that works great specially the Moisturizing shampoo/Protein treatment/moisturizing conditioner. as leave in products I like this ones specially when my hair is long, it helps in keeping hair split end free because it makes it moisturized and easier to comb, plus gives control on humid days the phyto 7 phyto 9 are great, you can get this at sephora(it can be pricey but last long time) the other one that is one of my faves is Phytodephisant , there is a nice line called kerastase, the hair feels very good with this one, but is on the pricey side but there is a simmilar product made by same company and is more economic, they sell it at sallys and is called natures therapy (Only the moisturizing conditioner is good)

That Keretase stuff is the stuff the pro-hair stylists used on my hair in the Allure studios when they were doing my unruly wavey hair and making it straight.

Don't buy any of the Bliss irons or hair dryers. I plunked down $145 for a Baby Bliss dryer and it died within three months. I lost the receipt and I never registered the warranty, so I was out that $145!

Thanks a lot, everybody. Gonna look into the Sedu,(and Chi again) glad to know it's not a flat-out waste of $$ either way. TY Kk for the product info/recs. Also avoid the Bliss. (That sounds funny.:)

Just FYI, Folica.com has an INCREDIBLE deal going right now on the Sedu Revolution- It's a 7 piece set including a mini version, clamps, paddle brush, heat-proof glove (these are great to have) and the dvd instructions. It's only 10.00 more than just getting the Revolution- $149.99, great deal- you could give the mini one to a friend or daughter. My client's love their Sedu's, but the Chi is really good from what I hear and it's less money (around 80 I think), either is a good choice- read the reviews on Folica.com http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Revolution_d5011.htmlhttp://www.folica.com/Sedu_Revolution_d2880.html- reviews of Sedu Revolution PS- I KNEW there was something I didn't like about the Chi- it doesn't have variable temperature control, which I think sucks.

The Sedu must be the "other ceramic one" that I mentioned prior that the hair dressers used. Ya, those must be the 2 of them; Chi and Sedu. Have not purchased either of those but do know that the CVS generic thing kind of sucks.
All I know is that it took TWO of those hair dressers to the celebs about 3 hours to iron out and blow dry the hair straight and managable with some of the products kk25 pictured and one of those special flat irons.

I always wanted to try Kerastase's products for hair repairing, but it's really expensive so I don't know if it'll be worth it. It's like $70 bucks total for both the shampoo and conditioner at Target.

Thanks Ryan. I think I'll buy the Sedu online-I like that offer. (The Chi's are all selling for $100-$130 in Ft. Worth anyway.) Thanks for the heads-up on the temp. control feature!!

The Sedu set just arrived!! Very nice looking gear. Can't wait to use it. Ryan, thanks for the for the folica.com tip. The shipping was included and it was fast. This kit ended up being a really good deal, too. Now to watch the acc. DVD--need new hair tricks, tired of the 'ambassador's wife helmet' and the 'librarian'--in another life I want good hair. :P
