Does anyone have experience of this. My mouth has got tighter and tigher over the last few yrs. It effects how I close my mouth and also my expression because my mouth keeps pulling together.

You might want to consult with a good Max-Fax doc about this to see what they say. I do think it is a real symptom/phenomenon (rather than imagination or whatever) as I remember in Dr. Gunson's New Patient Information packet--where the patient provides his health and complaint history--it specifically asks a series of questions relating to changes in how far one can open one's mouth, reduced ability to make mouth-related expressions, and so forth.

But also keep in mind you had past surgery on your chin/peri-oral area and so there could possibly be normal scar tissue around that region which has since contracted (and thus tightened) a bit over time--as scar tissue sometimes likes to do. Perhaps the facial exercises (mentioned in past threads here) would help you with this.

^^
I had two genios which didn't help the situation. Dr G was my surgeon so I might ask him about this.

Thanks Greg for your insight - Just need to determine what can be done about it, not sure I want more surgery in that area.

Yes. I think it's a good idea to ask dr. G.
