To Guests who have in the past TRIED to sign up but could not.

People who have tried to sign up are all in my administrative section called "unverified users". It means that for some reason, the attempt to sign up and become a member FAILED. In that section, it lists the SCREEN NAME you tried to sign up with and also the E-MAIL addy you used for the sign up. The system documents all failed attempts to sign up and keeps a record of the screen name you used and also the e-mail addy you used.

That said, I have PERSONALLY e-mailed many of the people who have had a sign up failure. Of those, I personally e-mailed, few got back to me.

Here are some reasons why you could be having a problem signing up:

1: You did not activate or complete the sign up process by clicking on the UNIQUE link on the e-mail that the system sends back to the e-mail addy you left. When you initiate the sign up process, the system sends an e-mail to the e-mail addy you used and on it is a UNIQUE link to click on to and from there, you enter your screen name and your password.

Not receiving the e-mail the system sends back would mean it EITHER went into your SPAM folder OR, you made a TYPO for your e-mail addy. So, when signing up, if you don't get the e-mail back soon from the system, CHECK YOUR SPAM folder. Also, when signing up COPY AND PASTE your e-mail addy into the box where the e-mail addy is requested BECAUSE if you make a TYPO, you won't be getting the e-mail from the system.

2: You tried to sign up with a name that someone else is already using. Keep in mind that some names are very common and they could already be in use. So perhaps, consider a more uncommon name.

3: The 'system' somehow recognizes that you (the PERSON) already have an account and won't let you take out another one. It's one account per person. So chances are the system can 'trap' a user who wants more than one account. So, can't help you there if that's the reason for the failed sign up.

4: IF you DID get back the e-mail the system sent you, used the UNIQUE LINK to enter the site and sign on but it still did not go through, that's usually a matter of your making a TYPO as to your screen name. So, document the EXACT screen name you used and remember that a CAPITAL and lower case do make a difference. Also, if you forgot your password or typed it incorrectly, the sign up would fail.
Again, I suggest keeping a saved separate document of your screen name, password and e-mail address from which you can COPY AND PASTE so there are no typos when you attempt to complete the sign up.

At least, keep documentation of the EXACT screen name you are using. In that way, you can always sign in with that, click on the "forgot my password" option, fill in the e-mail addy associated with the screen name you used when signing up and the system will send you a new password.

Typos when entering an e-mail addy or a screen name or a password are the most common reason for sign up failures. The initial e-mail the system sends back to you, going to your SPAM box is the second reason.
5: You use an e-mail addy and it's a type of e-mail address that you CAN'T write back from. That right there is an "unverified" e-mail address. For example, if e-mail can be sent to you BUT you can't use the e-mail addy to write back from and the type of addy you have is one that ANYONE can read your e-mail by knowing what your e-mail addy is, (there are some programs that allow people to 'make up' an e-mail addy and receive mail there but if anyone else knows the e-mail addy, they can also read your mail and it's a type of e-mail that you can't actually write FROM), then my system REJECTS those types of addys. Sorry. Those types are used by people who are afraid of getting SPAM but my system does not SPAM people. I DON'T SPAM my members.

6: Some GLITCH that I can't figure out what it is.

SO IF you have had a problem signing up, you are already in my "unverified user box" that lists your SCREEN NAME and also E-MAIL addy.

What you would NEED to do is to WRITE TO ME: MissJ521@aol.com.

You need to write to me FROM the e-mail addy you used to sign up and tell me what screen name you associated with the e-mail. From there, I can look in the unverified user box and hit the "Approve" button to let you in.

In short, IF you have had a problem signing up, write to me: MissJ521@aol.com FROM the e-mail addy you used to sign up.

If you can't actually write from the e-mail addy you used to sign up with, it means you made a TYPO (used an e-mail addy you can't write from because you entered the wrong e-mail addy for you). In which case, try again making sure to type in the right e-mail addy that will go to YOU and from which YOU can write back from.

I hope this helps people who had a problem signing up. Thank you.

I've been having problems with computer since May. I'm on a loaner now and still waiting for a new one. If I don't get back to you or am not on board, it would be most likely due to another computer problem.

Please Note:

A VALID e-mail addy is needed to sign up on my board.

IF you can't actually write to me FROM the e-mail addy you used to sign up here, then that e-mail addy won't work for signing up on my board and you will not receive notice from my system that will lead to the LOG IN option.

The e-mail addy you write to me FROM (if there is any problem with your sign up) must ALSO be the one you listed when signing up (or trying to) here.

The only time it is needed to e-mail me personally about your sign up is WHEN you have had a successful sign up and it says: "Unapproved. Write to MissJ521@aol.com" in which permission to post on my board will be CONTINGENT on your agreeing to follow my TOS policy.

People trying to sign up here with obviously BOGUS e-mail addies need not e-mail me from an e-mail addy other than the one they tried to sign up with as to why their sign up was not successful. The sign up process clearly states a valid e-mail addy is needed to sign up.

No, exceptions for those trying to circumvent that.
