She looked very good on Ellen. Close up she does have wrinkles but her cheeks are very full. Does this look like fat or dermal fillers? She is 79. http://www.dailymail.co....lming-Grace-Frankie.htmlcybergirl attached the following image(s):

She is filling her face with the flesh of vestal virgins! No seriously who actually knows? I couldn't even begin to guess but one thing I do imagine, is that as funny and smart as she is, it must SUCK to be inside her head. I actually do not want to have that kind of pressure at the age of 80 to try to look sexy and young. I would much rather just be what I am. At some point the race against time and aging has to stop.

Yes,.......I think she looks excellent on the Ellen show! I like her hair better there, then how it is on the close ups. The NEW EIGHTY! I think it is a positive thing. Though, in the close ups whatever is going on with her cheeks, I do not like.......Hope the Ellen show was after those pictures....look much better. So, even though, some may say to give it up,.....and that is fine, if one choose to, or does not have the finances to continue working on their looks,......for those that want to invest in their looks, it shows that you can look good, even attractive when, you are what once was thought of as elderly. IF you want to put in the time, energy, dedication, and money! |

Looks like a Combined Submalar Shellâ„¢ to my eye. Neither filler nor fat. |

I'm with MissJ - I think that has to be an implant. I cannot see fat or filler being so firm on movement when she is smiling.

What can she do to soften the lip lines? There must be peels, lasers or fillers to address the area above the lip.

Doesn't look like she uses fillers in her face. Looks like she has no problem keeping lines that would be reasonable for an 80 year old to KEEP. Gives her an air of sophistication not to be chasing every line possible to chase. So moot question to ask which fillers she should use. |

Is there a reason why it seems to be so difficult to re-create the buccal fat pads of youth with filler? I've noticed that while fillers seem to be able to fill in the area over the cheekbones, the area below them and by the jaw remains gaunt. And then when the person smiles the filled cheeks go up all the way over the cheekbones while there's just skin and bone below. The same can be seen with Fonda. I think that's the main reason for the unnatural look that can sometimes happen with fillers after a certain age.
I remember full well that in my 20's I had thick buccal pads. The part of the cheek that is adjacent to the teeth was firm and very thick. I would open my mouth and between my teeth I would put my thumb on the inside of the cheek there- and then grab it by putting my middle and pointer finger on the outside area. I would grab a very thick piece of what seemed to be firm fat. (I was a bored youngster). Now I do the same thing and it's no longer thick. The area of cheek I grab in this area is markedly thinner and therefore the space between my thumb and other fingers is closer. This area never seems to be filled by doctors and there must be a reason for it.

Buccal fat pad is a BIG somewhat thick and uniform fat pad. Fat pads to the lid/cheek area, I think are somewhat smaller and more scattered and more in 'safe zones' and easier for them to fill. Also, there are nerves and ducts in the vicinity of buccal fat pad that might get injured if they tried to recreate a big uniform fat pad with filler. That's my hunch. |
